Clinical exercise
The students of the Department of Nursing acquire clinical skills by actively participating in the practical experience of clinical practice throughout their studies. The clinical practice starts from the second semester with the course of Community Nursing, continues in the 3rd and 4th semester with the courses Pathological Nursing I and II and Surgical Nursing I and II and then in the 5th and 6th semester attend the clinical courses of Microbiology - Infection Nursing , First Aid - Emergency Nursing, Maternity Clinic - Gynaecology, Cardiopulmonary Care, Nursing Child Care and the exercises are completed with the courses Nursing anaesthesiology, Nursing in Surgery-Endoscopy, Intensive Care-Nursing in the ICU, Clinical Nursing I and II. These compulsory courses offer throughout the eight semesters to students a total of 70 hours per week, clinical practice courses, with 129 PS-ECTS.
With the Clinical Exercise the students:

perform supervised nursing interventions, thus practicing the clinical skills necessary for the practice of nursing science,

become familiar with the clinical environment and come into contact with the working reality of the nursing profession,

become familiar with Community services and structures for the provision of primary health care and rehabilitation,
-
put into practice the theoretical knowledge taught during their studies, developing skills of clinical reasoning and solving real health problems.
In this way, the clinical practice contributes the most to the proper educational preparation of our students, allowing on the one hand the application of the theoretical framework in a real workplace and on the other hand the enhancement of the learning process and clinical skills with the application experience.
In addition, Clinical Exercise is an important point:
